Though this site is on official hiatus until further notice, I had to pop in quickly and inform you all of some news that came on to AIG's radar.
It has long been known to readers of this site that Milo Pressman is a favourite character of the staff of AIG. Though his tenure was brief (about half of Season 1), his hipshot smarminess and technical prowess has always held a special place in our hearts. The Return of Milo was possibly the ONLY thing that could have made Season 3 even more unbelievably awesome than it already was. Matt and I have been calling for Milo's return every season since the first. But after 4 Seasons without a reprisal, we figured that Milo was lost and forgotten in the sea of temporary 24 characters forever. Not so!
It has come to our attention that sexy Eric Balfour, who portrayed the King of Keycards to such perfection in Season 1, has signed a contract to reprise the role of Milo as a series regular in Season 6. I've decided this must be the producers' sneaky move to get me to watch next season after the appalling death of Tony Almeida pretty much killed my love of 24 as it exists today (I will always have passionate love for Seasons 1-3 and all Tony action in Season 4).
I can't say that Milo's return makes up for losing Tony, but I can say that I do have some reason to watch Season 6 now other than to mock how the series has become a parody of its formerly great self. I will bask in Milo love. Long live Milo!
To read more about Milo's return, check out this article from tvguide.com. Though Milo's return has not been officially confirmed by 24 brass, the information sounds pretty reliable. Thanks to Livy for the link. For those of you who miss AIG's regular updates, check out our message board, where tidbits like this are posted often by our most loyal readers now that I am no longer able to keep up with things as much since the back pain from my Repetitive Strain Injury has kept me offline a lot on doctor's orders.
In other news, look what my boyfriend brought back for me after a recent trip to Chicago! Now the classic Almeida mug has a partner.
