Okay, people. We are officially in the countdown season to the premiere. It's officially the advent of 24. I saw a trailer on TV last night. I was slack-jawed and drooling. CTU once again graced the screen. My heart was pounding already, and i was tearing apart the screen with my eyes, trying to decipher what I was seeing. Now I feel like making a little paper chain.. the kind where you tear a link off every day as you get closer to the big event, and hang it on my bedroom wall. Do they make little chocolate 24 Advent Calendars? We should make one. We could sell it here on the site.
Now, it looks as if the cast has indeed dramatically changed. I recognized almost no-one, other than the indominable Jack. But they were all very compelling. It looks like it's going to be a good season. All you fellow 24-freaks out there will already know much more about this than I. I have to apologize... I'm a mom with no life, and my virgin eyes have seen nothing of this coming season. This trailer made a huge impact on me. I feel as if my life has meaning once more. Never mind three kids. Never mind supporting and running a household in a country where I have no family or help. I now have reason to get up in the morning. One more day closer to January... closer to Almeida, wherever He may be, closer to CTU, closer to the ridiculous bellowing of the flames of my fandom.
May Almeida bless us with many more trailers.

Cast Spotted Log has been updated again, which seems to be the only area on our site that is being updated these days with any regularity. All of our contemporaries are also seemingly having the same difficulties in finding any worthy 24 related news to post. One thing I can say is that there is only 11 more days until the s3 DVD and the Soundtrack are released in North America. I await the ensuing sorely-needed discussions of deleted scenes and commentaries with baited breath. Perhaps if I can round up my compatriots for an informal debrief on the DVD extras, we may have something new to post.
Speaking of the 24 Soundtrack, 24Fans.com, one of our affiliates, has posted some sneak-peek pictures and track listings. It appears that our beloved "Cofell Music" has been named "Jack In The Limo" and there is sadly no mention of "Jack shoots Mason in Leg with Tranq Dart." However, we knew that Tranq Dart Music was too much to hope for, as all of the music on the soundtrack are Callery originals, and that was the one piece of instrumental music ever in 24 that was not written by Callery. Looks like all the best themes are on there though. I would actually love to see a companion CD released with the music from the show by pop culture bands, like John Fruscinate's "Remain", The Dandy Warhols' "Neitzsche", Picastro's "Winter Notes", Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's "Suddenly", among others. 24 has such cool music. Between Matt and myself we've downloaded a lot of the tracks that have appeared in this capacity on 24, but some of them are freakin hard to find.

I was horribly ill all last week with the flu, and so updates were on hiatus, but there's not been much to update anyway. The flu meant a lot of time for me in bed watching TV, so Cast Spotted Log has been updated.

Up here in my particular Canadian neck of the woods, it was Remembrance Day yesterday. For our American readers, Remembrance Day is similar to Veteran's Day, with one main difference -- Veteran's Day celebrates soldiers from wars who are lucky enough to still be alive. Remembrance Day is more about taking time to reflect on those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
So in the spirit of Remembrance Day, we here at AIG would like to take a moment to reflect upon the characters of 24 who bravely lost their lives in the line of duty (I would have posted this yesterday, but I was away from my computer).

New Carlos video clip posted in The Man Behind Almeida. Carlos talks to VH1 about the famous Sinead O'Connor SNL Pope-ripping debacle of the early 90s, and touches on freedom of speech. Thanks to Natalie at 24Online for the heads up.
Join the Official Online 24 Fan Team! The goal of this website is to organize all 24 fans to continue spreading the word about this fantastic show. You may be rewarded for your efforts, as the player who gets the most people to join the 24 Team or shows the most team spirit by posting messages about 24 across the web has an opportunity to win a free copy of the Season 3 DVD. I'm not overly concerned with winning the DVD, as I plan to buy it on the day it comes out and everything. However, it never hurts to infuse the 24 fan community with even more fan spirit! Good luck to all who join!

Praise Almeida! It has finally happened! We finally had someone sign up as a Carl Fan! Oh blessed Carl, how underappreciated you really are.
Also, Cast Spotted Log has been updated with several new sightings. It looks like "Lost" has done it again with the appearance of Bob Warner. You all know now that Daniel Dae Kim who played Agent Baker in 24 is one of the stars of Lost. The episode which featured Bob Warner (John Terry) was also directed by Kevin Hooks, a 24 alumnus who directed 2 episodes of Season 3, 3-4AM and 4-5AM (the post Nina's death episodes). With the new fall TV season in full swing, our cast sightings are beginning to mount up.
The countdown for the North American release of the Season 3 DVD is officially under the one-month mark now. All I have to say is that these special features that are supposed to be exclusive to North America better be freakin AWESOME to make us wait this long for the release after our European and Australian counterparts. Only 29 days until the s3 DVD release. Hopefully I can hold on until then. I think Matt is holding on too, but he must be going insane in Vancouver without a TV to even watch his DVDs or taped episodes on. He is in severe 24 withdrawal and has our utmost sympathies.
Good news for AIG. We have been voted Zone-24's Site of the Month! Thanks to all who voted for us!

I stumbled across an archived copy of Carlos Bernard's interview with American Fitness magazine, way back last November, before we started this site. The link to read that has been posted in The Man Behind Almeida.
Also, as is tradition with Aaron Pierce sightings coming in groups of 3, he was spotted again last night on "ER." Excitingly enough, we experienced the rare instance of a double cast sighting, as Paula Schaffer also appeared in this episode. Cast Spotted Log has been updated.

As you have probably already heard and seen from other sources, there is a 17-second s4 trailer floating around that FOX broadcasted sometime last week. I wasn't able to see it until today because of my problematic laptop. However, I found a working version of this video clip over at 24fans.com, one of our affiliates. The clip is available for download from their site for a limited time in MPEG format. Don't miss out!
